Tesla Powerwall Home Battery

The Tesla Powerwall is a lithium ion battery for home use. It stores energy produced by the Solar Panels, or from the grid, for self-consumption purposes during peak-rate hours; or for back-up power during electricity outages. The Powerwall home storage device come in 6.4 kWh battery designed for daily discharge.

The Tesla Powerwall, when compared to other battery solutions is compact and aesthetically pleasing, making them ideal for solar power installations at home.

The warranty on the Tesla Battery is 10 Years.

Tesla has teamed up with SolarEdge for the design of the Powerwall, so this product seamlessly integrates with the SolarEdge range of Back-up Inverters which are currently available in 5kW and 6kW, Single Phase solutions.

How it Works

Solar Power Day and Night

On average, homes use less electricity during the day (when solar energy is ample) than during the morning or evening. If you don’t have a home battery, the power company buys excess solar energy only to sell it back to you in the evening. This imbalance puts pressure on power plants, increasing carbon emissions. With Powerwall you can access your solar energy when you need it, returning a balance to the supply and demand of renewable energy.

You don’t have to pay peak rates

Electricity is often more expensive during peak evening hours compared to overnight when demand decreases. Now Powerwall can step in to power your home when rates are high and store up electricity when rates are low, sparing you from peak rates.

Backup Energy = Peace of Mind

When there’s a power outage (due to storms, unreliable utility grids or load-shedding) Powerwall will automatically switch to battery power.

Powerwall Models:
6.4 kWh Daily Cycle.

Both are:
Guaranteed for ten years.
Sufficient to power most homes during peak evening hours.

Homes with greater energy needs may install multiple batteries together (max 90 kWh total for 10 kWh battery and 63 kWh total for 6.4 kWh battery).

Pleasing to the eye & Effective

Regular home batteries responsible for generating current tend to be large and expensive (to install and maintain).

The Powerwall lithium-ion battery on the other hand will power your home safely and economically thanks to Tesla’s proven automotive battery technology.
